Letrozol 2.5mg 20tabs

Letrozole is used to treat certain types of breast cancer in women who have already stopped menstruating (postmenopausal). It is also used for women who have already had other cancer treatments (e.g., tamoxifen). Female hormones that occur naturally in the body can increase the growth of some breast cancers.

Femara (letrozole) is a non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor (lowers estrogen production) used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Femara is often given to women who have been taking tamoxifen (Nolvadex, Soltamox) for 5 years.

Letrozole is in a class of medications called nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors. It works by decreasing the amount of estrogen produced by the body. This can slow or stop the growth of some types of breast cancer cells that need estrogen to grow.

The tablet can be taken with or without food and should be swallowed whole with a glass of water or another liquid. Continue taking Letrozole 2.5mg every day for as long as your doctor tells you. You may need to take it for months or even years.
